ABOUT US: JEFFERSON AREA MOTOR SQUAD

The Jefferson Area Motor Squad was formed in 1992 and is comprised of motor officers from the Charlottesville Police Department, Albemarle County Police Department and the University of Virginia Police Department. The Jefferson Area Motor Squad works together to provide escorts for the many dignitaries that visit the historical Central Virginia area. When not conducting dignitary escorts, the Squad members can be found conducting traffic safety enforcement in their respective jurisdictions to improve safety on our roadways.
