JEFFERSON AREA MOTOR SQUAD

FOLLOW US:

The Jefferson Area Motor Squad was formed in 1992 and is comprised of officers from the Charlottesville Police DepartmentAlbemarle County Police Department and the University of Virginia Police Department. The Jefferson Area Motor Squad works together to provide escorts for the many dignitaries that visit the historical Central Virginia area.  When not conducting dignitary escorts, the Squad members can be found conducting traffic safety enforcement in their respective jurisdictions to improve safety on our roadways.

The Jefferson Area Motor Squad is proud to be hosting the 5th   annual Jefferson Area Motor Squad Skills Competition June 1-3 2016 and will be held in the Sam's Club of Charlottesville parking lot.  The Jefferson Area Motor Squad Skills Competition is a way for motor officers to improve their riding skills, exchange new training ideas and improve or create inter-agency relationships. It is also an opportunity to give back to the community which supports law enforcement.  A portion of the proceeds raised for the 2016 competition will be donated to America's 911 Foundation!!  Click here or the button below to register.  We look forward to seeing you at this year's event.
